I have used Hostgator as my web host for over two years now and have been very very impressed with them. Firstly they%26#039;re very cheap but still give me more web hosting space and bandwidth than I%26#039;ll ever need, the ability to host unlimited websites, a 99.9% uptime guarantee and great customer support.

hostfolks.com is by far the best IMO, I%26#039;ve used several others to my dissatisfaction. talk about great customer service, quick, I%26#039;ve never witnessed any downtime in over 3 years

Other Replys:Fast depends not only on how much traffic you%26#039;re getting on your site, and what types of files you%26#039;re serving, but also whether or not you%26#039;re running a dynamic application that gets its data from a database. That can seriously slow things down if the web server and the database server are on different machines, as they are on some web hosts (GoDaddy for example).

So far, I%26#039;ve found HostGator to be pretty responsive. Of course it also depends on your LEVEL of hosting. For example, if you%26#039;re on a shared host, how many other sites are sitting on the same server? If any of THEM is getting a lot of traffic, then your site will be slow too. The only way around that is to get a dedicated host, and possibly defray the cost a little by sharing it with one or two other websites who you know and trust.

try contacting the online help with any host as a test to see how responsive they really are..this is allways a good indication of how reliable they will be and the main page loading speed is a good indicator to..
