Can anyone recommend an affordable and reliable web hosting?

I want to build a forum, but I am a novice. I%26#039;m looking for something very affordable, but I don%26#039;t want to sacrifice reliability or limit my data transfer capabilities too much. Who should I go with that will be user friendly for a first-timer and give me a good price. I also want to avoid annual contracts and would like to be able to upgrade my services at a later time. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend an affordable and reliable web hosting?

HOSTMONSTER! www.hostmonster.com . Do not use Netfirms- the Viscious Hosting Company From Below. Nothing but trouble.

Hostmonster gives you double the features of most people for probably half the price. Believe me, I%26#039;ve tried lots of them. I run 15 websites and I%26#039;ve looked all over for something better. You get 999 gigs of email + transfer and free auto-install forums and scripts.

Other Replys:I%26#039;ll second GoDaddy.

Other Replys:Dreamhost:

http://www.dreamhost.com

I couldn%26#039;t be happier with them, and they give you disk / bandwidth allowances you%26#039;ll never exceed.

Also, they have a one-click install of PHPBB.

Other Replys:I%26#039;ll recommend against GoDaddy because their interface is terrible for managing your account.

I%26#039;ll second http://www.dreamhost.com

one gem site I really like with great support and a good price is

Other Replys:If you intend to create more than 1 website, go for multiple web hosting where you could handle your websites in one account.

By using Fantastico, you may create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.

that site lists the top 10 web hosting companies.

Other Replys:Eh, I advise you to ignore the other people in this question who are advertising their own services. Now I%26#039;ve been doing this web development thing for a few years, and am familiar with the ropes.

http://www.webhostingtalk.com - Basically the only community-based site where you can hear real people rate hosts. It%26#039;s a gathering point for all things relating to web hosting basically.

Other Replys:Hi,

You can have a look at http://www.exabytes.com/

They have 24x7 technical support and their hosting plans are very affordable too. Their support is definitely user-friendly for a first timer.
